I use the G.R.E.A.T. approach to uncover issues in our town, that is – Growth, Roads, Employment, Academics and Transportation. Having a plan to attract “right-sized” companies to Milton, allowing Miltonians to work in town instead of commuting to surrounding cities.
We’ve already succeeded in our plans to bring post-secondary education to Milton with the announcement of Wilfred Laurier University and Conestoga College. We’re working towards all day GO service with a new station with additional parking spaces new platforms. In my recent term on town Council, I brought forward a request review a hybrid transportation system and supported the Smart Cities initiative to bring timed traffic lights, below ground garbage containers, and to reinstate funding at the provincial level for our libraries.
For over a decade, I have witnessed Milton’s rapid growth and accompanying growing pains. Milton will continue to face challenges and with proven leadership, I will continue to strive to be the voice of the community as I have done over the past four years.
